Chamber feeders are specialized devices used as feeding elements in high-pressure pneumatic transport systems.
Their primary task is to enable the transfer of bulk materials to a closed transport pipeline, in which the stream of raw material is transported by compressed air.
Principle of operation of chamber feeders
The principle of operation is based on filling the chamber tank with loose material of appropriate granulation and bulk density, and then emptying it by introducing compressed air. This enables the material to be transported horizontally, vertically, and at an angle, which ensures great flexibility in the design and operation of technological installations.
Operation of chamber feeders
Chamber feeders can operate individually or in parallel systems, where several devices operate alternately. This solution allows for increased efficiency of the entire system and reduced compressed air consumption, which translates into lower operating costs.
Construction
The design of the tanks is adapted to the specific characteristics of the transported medium. They can be made of:
- carbon steel, used for non-aggressive materials that do not require corrosion resistance,
- alloy and stainless steel, ensuring chemical resistance when working with aggressive or hygroscopic media.
Additional equipment includes, among others:
- level sensors
- quick-acting valves
- pressure and flow control systems
- automation systems enabling full integration of feeders with the production line
Technical parameters
The technical parameters of the devices, their size, and equipment are selected individually in each case based on the technical parameters, available infrastructure, and the investor’s requirements.
We are able to produce any type of chamber feeder.
Advantages of chamber feeders
Reliability, precision in dosing and feeding materials
Chamber feeders in high-pressure pneumatic transport systems for bulk materials ensure:
- transport over long distances and heights
- tightness and dust reduction
- precise material dosing
- the ability to work with difficult and heavy materials
- energy savings (dense phase transport)
- protection of pipelines against excessive wear
- easy automation of the entire process.
