The raw material fed into the drum is continuously moved and evenly heated, which prevents agglomeration and ensures intensive heat exchange. Operating Principle of Rotary Furnaces

Depending on the technology, rotary furnaces can be heated directly — by introducing hot flue gases directly into the working chamber — or indirectly, through heat exchangers installed on the outer shell of the device. Both solutions ensure a stable and uniform temperature distribution along the entire length of the furnace, which is crucial for the quality of the final product. By adjusting the rotational speed, drum inclination angle, and process temperature, rotary furnaces can be flexibly adapted to the type of raw material and technological requirements. They are characterized by high throughput, robust construction, and the ability to operate at high temperatures, reaching even over 1500°C.
