Rotary valves are devices used for tight and controlled dosing of loose materials, whose principle of operation is based on a rotating drum divided into chambers (cells).
Each chamber cyclically takes a portion of material from the upper part of the device and transfers it further, ensuring an even and volume-controlled flow of raw material. Thanks to their sealed design, the dispensers also act as a lock between zones with different pressures, which is particularly important in pneumatic transport and dust extraction systems, where they prevent unwanted air or process gas flow.
Application of rotary valves
They are commonly used for low-pressure transport, for feeding materials into reactors, mixers or mills, as well as for uniform emptying of silos and collection of dust from filters.
A wide range of available configurations allows for easy adaptation to the requirements of various industries – from chemical and food, through energy and pharmaceutical, to mineral and cement.
Construction
Depending on the properties of the dosed medium, they can be made of cast iron, carbon steel, or alloy steel resistant to corrosion and aggressive substances.
The simple and durable design, combined with the possibility of adjusting the rotational speed, ensures reliability and precision of the process.
Technical parameters
The technical parameters of the devices, their size and equipment are selected individually in each case based on the technical parameters, available infrastructure and the investor’s requirements.
We are able to produce any type of rotary valve.
Advantages of rotary valves
Rotary valves are devices that: dispense material precisely, act as an air lock, are leak-proof and safe.
They are suitable for working with various materials: dusts, powders, granulates, enable automation and stabilization of processes, reduce dusting and protect downstream equipment.
