A versatile device designed for transporting loose and fine-grained materials in a horizontal or inclined system.
The material is moved by the rotation of a spiral located in a pipe or trough, which ensures the tightness of the track and reduces dusting.
In our installations, we use horizontal and slightly inclined as well as vertical pipe screw conveyors.
Depending on the type of material being transported, we use shaft screw conveyors with a solid, ribbon, or paddle screw. For materials with special properties, we use shaftless conveyors. The conveyors are made of carbon steel, while for chemically active materials, we use alloy steels resistant to the properties of the material being transported. For highly abrasive materials, we use Hardox steel or lined steel. If the installation requires transporting material in two directions along a single conveyor line, we use reversible conveyors. We also manufacture conveyors adapted to work in dust explosion hazard zones (ATEX design).
Construction
In our installations, we use horizontal and slightly inclined as well as vertical tubular screw conveyors.
The design allows for use in both simple transport and precise dosing of raw materials, where the capacity is regulated by the screw rotation speed, and in advanced systems also by weighing systems. The conveyors are available in tubular (sealed) and trough (easier to service) versions, with or without a shaft – the latter are better suited for viscous and fibrous materials. They can be equipped with covers, intermediate bearings, wear linings, and operation control sensors. Hygienic versions made of stainless steel (AISI 304/316) and compliant with ATEX requirements are also available. This solution is optimal for short and medium transport distances and angles of inclination up to approximately 20-25°.
Technical parameters
The technical parameters of the devices, their size, and equipment are selected individually in each case based on the technical parameters, available infrastructure, and the investor’s requirements.
We are able to produce any type of screw conveyor.
Advantages of screw conveyors
The advantages of screw conveyors include their uncomplicated design and operation, low investment and operating costs.
Additional advantages include:
- low investment and operating costs,
- reliability of operation due to the small number of moving parts,
- ease of sealing, which makes it possible to transport dusty and harmful materials using a sealed housing.
