The Powder Materials Laboratory is a key component of the company’s operations and the foundation of its innovative capabilities.

Its facilities allow for conducting research and tests under semi-industrial conditions, enabling precise replication of the real operating environment of process equipment. The laboratory supports both the improvement of existing solutions and the development of new technologies tailored to the specific needs of various industries, where parameters such as dosing accuracy, energy efficiency and dust-free operation are essential.

Scope of Laboratory Activities

Research

We conduct in-house studies on the properties of bulk materials to select the most suitable process and construction solutions.

Testing

We carry out tests on our own experimental setups for processes such as drying, conveying, crushing, milling, mixing and granulation.

Process Development

For industrial, pilot-scale and laboratory installations, we select optimal process and design parameters for machines and equipment.

Implementations

We develop and implement new technologies, including prototypes of innovative machines and equipment.

Projects

We prepare and execute research projects, including those co-financed by the European Union.

Support

Our mission is to provide advisory support to clients in selecting technologies, optimizing processes and solving operational challenges.

We collaborate with universities and research institutions.

Wakro’s status as a Research and Development Center enables us to work on new technological solutions in cooperation with academic institutions. This allows us to combine industrial experience with scientific expertise and to carry out joint research and implementation projects. Such an approach fosters the development of innovative products and process lines and contributes to the education of future industry specialists.

Thanks to its comprehensive equipment—including two research halls and specialized test stations—the laboratory is an invaluable tool in the design and implementation of innovative technological solutions.

Powder Materials Laboratory Infrastructure

  • a 150 m² hall equipped with a 2-ton overhead crane, a compressed air installation and a central dedusting system,
  • a hall of over 530 m² equipped with a full-scale industrial process line, enabling us to offer clients solutions that guarantee the achievement of required process parameters,
  • a laboratory room with workbenches and stations for determining the properties of bulk materials.

Additionally, the part of the laboratory dedicated to welding processes offers non-destructive weld testing and measurements of structural material properties.
